5 good Reasons To See Adam Rozenbachs in “It’s Not Me, It’s Youz”

1. I’m at ACMI at Fed Square at 7:15, which is exactly the same time and venue as last year, so if you come along it’ll feel like 2014. My show will actually make you feel younger without a single chemical peel.

2. I don’t like Tony Abbott, so if you agree with me you’ll come along. Otherwise if you don’t we can just assume THAT YOU’RE THE ONE WHO VOTED FOR HIM.

3. They say laughter is the best medicine, so you’ll only feel better if you come to my show. But no really sick people. Ok, really sick people, but nothing contagious. Ok, really sick contagious people, but BYO bubble [and I’ll do a special night for those with whooping cough where I’ll just crank the volume and talk over you].

4. If you don’t come then you’ve let the terrorists win.

5. I cheated death twice this last year, so at that rate it’ll probably be your last chance to see me as I’ve got to run out of luck at some point. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m off to get some toast out of this toaster with this knife.

1. This show is culmination of a lot of work and deserves to be seen ok? Jeeeez!

2. Stu is funny, but oh man he has a sensitive side doesn’t he? And this is funny to people.

3. IT’S NOT A GAME

4. It’s DEFINITELY not a game!

5. This show offers a rare glimpse into the the man behind the mask, and explores the myth and murky mysticism marvellously meandering the magical meanings of the marvellous mug that is Stuart Daulman.

5 Good reasons to see ‘Kate Dehnert – Pony Yell’

1. Kate plays a Pony with a bad back.

2. Ponies are excellent mail deliverers, and this show will reinforce that important fact.

3. Because you can relate to having a letterbox.

4. And you can relate to having a version of yourself stuck in another dimension who communicates through the mail.

5. Plus you can relate to the frustrations of work and having a co-worker sucked into your computer, who then takes a dump in the recycling bin.

5 Good Reasons To See Aunty Donna

Step 1
Gather your Ingredients
4 1/2 cups cornflakes
120g butter, chopped
1 1/2 tablespoon honey
1/3 cup caster sugar

Step 2
Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan-forced. Line 12 hole, 1/3 cup capacity muffin pan with paper cases.

Step 3
Place cornflakes in a large heatproof bowl.

Step 4
Place butter, honey and sugar in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring until butter has melted and mixture is smooth. Add to cornflakes. Mix well to combine. Spoon mixture evenly between paper cases.

Step 5
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden. Stand for 2 minutes. Transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

1. It’s is the only travel-themed sketch show in the Comedy Festival.

2. It’s written, produced and performed by 3 funny and fierce Melbourne comedians, Lauren Bok (Channel 31’s Live on Bowen), Chelsea Hughes (RAW Comedy State Finalist 2014) and Megan Mckay (RAW Comedy National Finalist 2013). That’s right – a Triple Threat!

3. The show will give a definitive ruling on the age old packing debate over whether you should pack or roll your clothes.

4. You will get to see three completely untrained women do a ballet.

5. It’s on early in the evening so you’ll have plenty of time to watch lots of other comedy festival shows!

5 Good Reasons to see: Tomás Ford – Electric Cabaret

1. It’s a thrill ride of oddball electronic music and cabaret that shouldn’t work, but does. Until it doesn’t, when it really doesn’t. Which is when it gets good.

2. I built this show up touring Australian punk rock pubs for years; it’s been polished through some pretty extreme audience reactions. It still gets them. They are fun to watch.

3. I worry that your night at Comedy Festival will be predictable. Let me fix that. This show can go anywhere.

4. The show has won Best WA Cabaret at Fringe World, five star reviews from Time Out London and Three Weeks, and a nomination for Best Edinburgh Cabaret.

5. Your Mum would say I have a nice voice but she wonders why I do all the “other stuff”. You will think that other stuff is the funniest bit.
