In the lead up and during the Festivals we cover, we ask Comedians to give us 5 good reasons to come and see their show!

5 Good reasons to see CJ Delling – Reality Bandit

1. This is a show you could bring your mum, first date or dentist to.

2. The Bull & Bear Tavern is a proper old school pub that is close to Flinders Station, trams and parking. (That could be the most important reason.)

3. You get to meet me before and after the show. (That could be the least important reason.)

4. There may or may not be a Zombie joke in the show… just like one day there may or may not be a Zombie Apocalypse.

5. It’s my 3rd solo show and it went quite well in Adelaide a few weeks ago.

5 Good Reasons to see Liz Skitch gets SPOILT

1. There is a Pomshitz in the show.  Also known as Shiranian.  Pomeranian/ Shitzu cross.  You’re sold right? No need to list another four reasons.  But just incase you are a cat person…

2. There’s also some cat references.  And there’s me… the actor, the thesbian. I play all five characters… get it?  Yes!  Take another look at the photo of the five ladies.  They’re all me!

3. You get to go to a wedding in the show…  you might even get to do the Nutbush… or not… I won’t force you.

4. It’s a show with a bit of everything for everyone: A fabulous collection of wigs and shoes, karaoke and a pinch of beastiality… Okay… maybe not for everyone.

5. Whisper this bit to yourself in a deep and sexy voice, “Treat yourselves, indulge, SPOILT yourself with a night out at the Butterfly Club. In the heart of the city (just across from Town Hall on Carsons Place off Little Collins) it is a unique 3 story venue with theatre, award winning shows, bars, comfy nooks and crannies in which you can sit and sip on cocktails and a HUGE collection of kitsch. Come on in for a special night out, you DESERVE it.”

5 Good Reasons to see Shane Matheson – Shane Talent Time

1.There is a different special guest comedian for each performance
performing one of their own hits. Like when Young Talent Time had
Kamahl come on! (Note: Kamahl won’t be appearing in my show)

2.Kamahl will be in the show! He won’t though. My loss really. Imagine
if he just turned up! I’d probably let him in for free, because it’s
Kamahl. He’s a very good singer and would certainly show me a thing or
two.

3.The show has a song about a… oh god I can’t say this without
laughing because it’s TOO hilarious. A song, about a DOG who can drive
a BUS! Where’s my Barry Award? (Rhetorical)

4.Someone once said of one of my shows “I was laughing the whole time
and I don’t even know why”. Please come along and help me figure it
out because I don’t know either.

5.It’s not all songs though. There’s stand up and jokes. Remember
jokes? Comedy used to have heaps of them. Now it’s just things like
songs about a dog that can drive a bus. Although I must say, that does
sound pretty amazing.

1. There will be some nudity – I don’t know who will do it but we will choose on the night.

2. No audience member will get picked on – unless they want to be picked on!

3. You get to listen to my weird accent for an hour.

4. There will be a competition every night*

5. There are free snacks at my shows*

* Total lies, the last two things will not happen, not EVER
