5 Good Reasons To See Infectious 2017

1. It’s like a mini gala with five of the biggest names in Aussie comedy on the line-up, with the delightful and hilarious Danny McGinlay as MC.

2. This is what Sammy J says about the show: “I know the line-up and without giving it away, you are going to get so much bang for your buck that you will be angry about buying tickets to anything else.”

3. It’s one of the only chances you’ll have at this festival to see one of Australia’s biggest comedy stars.

4. What else were you going to do on your Monday night?

5. It’s all for a great cause – proceeds from Infectious 2017 will go to support medical research at Burnet Institute.

Infectious 2017 is on at Chapel Off Chapel on April 10

5 Good Reasons to see The Improv Conspiracy Tournament of Teams

1. Sixteen teams comprised by over 60 of Melbourne’s best comedians and most experienced improvisers are competing in the Tournament of Teams.

2. It features four different improv comedy teams performing every show (with the exception of the Grand Final which will be just two teams with a greater time limit). Different acts each show with a very different style of comedy than the one before them, all for just $10!

3. YOU decide which teams continue forward in the tournament by voting at the end of every show.

4. The tournament has a fun little storyline orbiting around it featuring four different characters (Alien Commander, Superhero, Fairy Princess, Corporate Powerhouse) that will be hosting each show.

5. It’s completely improvised! ANYTHING could happen! This is the must-see improv event of the year.

The Tournament of Teams on at The Improv Conspiracy Theatre every Friday and Saturday until April 22

5 good reasons to see Des Bishop’s Grey Matters

1. The last 15 minutes of my shell is like the best sex therapy you will ever experience. Many previously difficult moments in the bedroom will no longer be a problem after you see the show.

2. If you are like me and you don’t have kids you will love my observations on what it’s like watching your friends all have them. If you are like my friends and you have kids you will absolutely love listening to what you look like to the single side of the world.

3. If you have a thing for Irish people then my show will be one of the best places to meet an Irish person in the whole of Melbourne. If you Snapchat me @desbuffer in advance of the show I might even announce on stage that a lovely Australian has a thing for Irish people man or a woman I am happy to be the matchmaker.

4. I have recently learned how to dance and there is no Way to guarantee the show won’t turn into a disco party at the end.

5. For the lads I have some great suit choices that might inspire some fashion ideas and for the ladies I look great in a suit!

Des Bishop’s Grey Matters is on at The Greek Centre

5 Good Reasons to see Juan Miles – Villain

1- The guy is seriously charming and his accent is delicious.

2- It’s scary how easily he gets you to laugh at some of the horrible stuff he jokes about.

3- Like seriously, you’ll lose all self-respect for you as a moral being..

4- But funny, dark, charming and delicious accent? It’s probably worth it.

5- Only one way to find out.

5 good reasons to see Matt Harvey: Just for funny Podcast

1. The comedy podcast has been enjoying a successful run on iTunes for around a year and a half. So we know what we are doing.

2. Previous guests have had 5 star shows, award winning shows, and sell out shows. So this might be the best chance you get to see something new and exciting.

3. You love being the first to know about a thing. Our comedians are some of our favourite comedians you’ve never seen, but they are great.

4. Just for Funny is a podcast that presents snippets of the finest up and coming comedians we know of and presents them to you so you can take some of the guess work out of learning about new comedians. You can get a taste of the show on youtube so its not like you’re even taking a chance really. Go on and listen. Its a lot of fun.

5. We have gone to thousands of hours of open mic comedy. It can be a tough slog. We then filtered and distilled those hours down to these fine comedians. Don’t let us waste all those hours.

Matt Harvey & Marty Atta’s live podcast recording of Just For Funny is on Saturdays at The Tickle Pit

5 Good Reasons to see Frenchy Unleashed

1      He kinda looks like Sid the Sloth from Ice Age. But with methier eyes.

2      He’s the self-proclaimed King of Tinder.

3      He used to be a teacher. If he fails at comedy he goes back to teaching at high school. For the sake of Australia’s future, you don’t want that to happen.

4      His teaching licence is actually suspended so the above scenario can’t happen.

5      He needs money for new crocs & a lava lamp.
